Favorite Pieces From April

I’ve listed my favorite piece from each author below. If anyone wants to read along with me but can’t go at this pace (fair!) I’d encourage you to check this monthly post!

1. Josh Pearce

“Play Devil” | WYSR Review

It’s Jessie’s turn to play the Devil this week. Except then, more devils show up.

2. Grant Collier

“The Best Version of Yourself” | WYSR Review

More and more people are deciding to ascend to Nirvana, even Maria’s mother.

3. Ian Li

3. “On Fields of Purple Grass” | WYSR Review

When the protagonist’s mother dies, he decides to leave Earth and search for the purple grass in her song.

Aaaand I just realized, two of the three pieces are mother-themed, which I’m going to say I totally did on purpose for Mother’s Day. Read these and send to your mothers to show your appreciation.

Running Tally

So far, I have:

  • Reviewed 16 Authors

  • Reviewed 178 pieces in my Spotlights (ranging from poetry to novellas)

    • From the 178, I have written 147 individual “Why You Should Read” reviews on Inkfoundry

Check-In

I had to take a two week break in April as I am currently finishing my third novel’s rough draft, and I didn’t want a chance of burning out. I am restarting my reviews on May 7th, and my next Writer Spotlight will be May 13th.

If you like what I’m doing with reviews and want to check out the first two novels in the trilogy, here they are!

And Now! A Sneak Peak

For May, I plan to review:

  • A.P. Howell

  • Marc Criley

  • Beth Goder
